We have partnered with our client seeking a Safety Coordinator in Cedar Rapids!
Pay: $60k-$90k
Schedule: 7am-4pm Mon-Fri
Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Position: DIRECT HIRE

Duties of Safety Director:
- Manage the safety aspects of all projects
- Pre-construction planning as it pertains to Safety
- Manage the safety program in its entirety
- Conduct new hire orientation and distribute PPE
- Manage work comp cases including claims and light duty
- Investigate all incidents
- Manage OSHA 300s
- Assist in site specific safety plans including JHAs
- Assist in managing the captive insurance plans and requirements-including attending meetings as
- needed (2 per year)
- Assemble PowerPoints and manage monthly foremen meetings
- Review and manage OSHA required training
- Participate in all internal Company meetings
- Site Specific Safety Plan & Site Specific Erection Plan
- Project hand-off/kick-off with estimator, foremen, general superintendent & safety
- Weekly resource coordination meetings
- Post Project review meetings
- Communicate Project Safety needs between General Contractor & Internal Office
- Communicate changing project safety requirements with superintendent and foreman
- Promote Companies Core Vision & Values within and outside the company
- Other duties as required
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CHST or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Commitment to safety and an injury free workplace
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Customer oriented and focused on team success
- Computer skills - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Bluebeam
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
